Team Petit

For the first season of Petit's dog mushing career he began as a handler to 14 year Iditarod veteran Jim Lanier.  While training with Lanier and running qualifying races in preparation to run the 2012 Iditarod, Petit was offered the rare opportunity to run a year earlier than planned.  Lanier was unable to put off a hip replacement, and asked Petit to fill-in as his medical replacement. 

Petit says, "merci beaucoup" to Jim Lanier and his family
for helping him get a great start on the Iditarod Trail.
